Carren's Pitch

One of the most exciting magazines I've come across is Makeshift, a journal of hidden creativity. Instead of covering what the rest of the world is talking about, the magazine looks into the cracks of the world that people often overlook.

The magazine just came out with their latest issue on Communication. (The issue also rounds out their first year. Yay!) In this issue, Makeshift covered strange ways North Koreans and South Koreans communicate across the border, email scammers in Nigeria (who hasn't gotten that email?) and hung out with firewall navigators in China

I was privileged to have gotten the chance to speak with an economist and TEDster talking about how language affects our saving habits and other behavior. Pretty cool stuff right?

Do check them out here!
